For property managers
Change the email you sign in with
The address you sign in with can be changed from Settings. You keep your account, your properties, your team and your history. Only the address changes.
Steps
- Go to Settings and find the Profile card.
- Select Change your sign-in email.
- Enter the new address. If you sign in with a password, enter it as well.
- Select Send confirmation link.
- Open the new inbox and select the link in the email we sent there.
Until you open that link nothing changes. You keep signing in with your old address, and Settings shows a reminder of which address is waiting to be confirmed. The link lasts 24 hours.
Why the link goes to the new address
Because that is what proves the address is yours. Anyone who got hold of your session could type a new address, but they cannot read the inbox it goes to, so the change never completes. For the same reason your old address is emailed twice: once when a change is requested, and once when it takes effect. If you get one of those and it was not you, sign in, cancel the change from Settings, and change your password.
Cancel a change you started
Open Settings and select Cancel this change on the reminder. The link stops working straight away. Starting a new change also cancels the old one, so there is only ever one live link.
"That email address is already used by another Wealthru sign-in"
Somebody already signs in with that address, and no two accounts can share one. If it is your own second account, sign in to that one and change ITS address first, then come back.
If you cannot reach either inbox
This is the one case you cannot fix yourself: the old mailbox is gone and the new one is not confirmed. Contact us. Our support team can set the address directly. Every use of that is recorded with a reason, both addresses are notified, and the new address arrives unverified so you are still asked to confirm it the ordinary way.
Signing in with Google
You do not need a password for this. If you signed up with Continue with Google we do not ask for one, because you have none to re-enter. Note that changing your Wealthru sign-in address does not change which Google account you use.
This is tooling, not legal advice.
