For property managers
Keep a tribunal case file
Give an LTB, RTB or other tribunal matter somewhere to live. A case keeps the file number, the dated log, the paper and the costs on the tenancy itself, instead of a folder on your desk.
Before you start
- You need to be a property manager or account owner. Tenants never see the Case tab.
- Wealthru records the case in your words. It never generates tribunal forms, never computes deadlines, and never advises on process. This is tooling, not legal advice.
Open a case
- Open the lease and go to the Case tab.
- Give it a title in your own words, the tribunal's name if you like, the file number when you have one, and the date it opened.
Keep the log
Add a dated entry each time something happens, in your words. "Filed", "Hearing", "Adjourned", whatever it was. A future date you log, a hearing for example, appears in the property's Key dates beside everything else you watch. Closing the case removes its dates from the rail.
Costs and papers
- Link an expense to the case from the expense form, a filing fee or counsel invoice for example. The case shows the posted total. Until something is posted it says so, no invented zero.
- Upload the case's documents on the tenancy and they stay with your records.
Closing and reopening
Close the case with the outcome in your words, "Order issued" or "Settled at mediation". The outcome stays on the record. If the matter revives, reopen it, the outcome you recorded is kept until you change it.
