For property managers

Relist a unit after a move-out, and take the ad down when it is filled

A listing does not take itself down when you sign a tenant, and it should not: plenty of landlords advertise a unit while the current tenant is working their notice. So the product asks you instead, in the places you are already looking.

When you fill a unit

Open the lease. If the unit's public page is still live, the lease starts with This unit is still advertised, naming the listing:

  • Unlist and close applications takes the public page down and closes the apply link together, so nobody can send you their ID and pay stubs for a home that is taken.
  • View the public page opens the live ad first, if you want to check which one it is.
  • Keep advertising dismisses the prompt and changes nothing. Use it when you are pre-marketing.

Checking every listing at once

Listings flags any published listing whose unit already has a tenancy with Unit occupied, and counts them in one line at the top. Each of those rows has an Unlist button, so you can clear them without hunting through properties.

Putting a unit back on the market

Finish the move-out as usual. The last step of the move-out wizard now offers Relist this unit, which opens that unit's listing with everything you wrote last time still there. Update the rent and the available-from date, then publish. The public link and the apply link are the same ones as before, so an old share still works.

Starting a listing from scratch

Listings has a + New listing button that is always there, even once you have listings. It lists every unit you could advertise, marks which ones already have a listing and which are occupied, and takes you straight to the right editor.
