For tenants
Show your manager the problem
A photo or a short video helps your property manager understand the problem and send the right person out faster.
Attaching a photo to the request itself is not available yet
There is no photo option on a maintenance request in the app today. If you are looking for one, you have not missed it. It is on the way, and until then the steps below get the picture to your manager just as well.
What to do instead
- Describe it well in the request. Say what is wrong, exactly where it is, and when it started. For example "water pooling under the kitchen sink since Tuesday, worse when the dishwasher runs". See Report a maintenance issue.
- Send the photo to your manager. Use Messages on your home page to tell them you have one, and if they reply to you by text or email you can send the photo straight back on that reply. It lands in the same conversation they are already reading. See Message your landlord.
Good to know
- A clear description matters as much as a photo. A photo of a wet floor does not say when it started or how bad it gets.
- Your manager sees your request and your messages in one place, so nothing is lost between them.
- A photo is not a guarantee of timing. Your manager confirms the next steps with you.
