For tenants

Download a rent receipt

Download a tidy PDF rent receipt for any rent payment that went through, so you have proof of rent paid for your records or a provincial benefit or tax claim.

You also get one by email

When your landlord records your payment, Wealthru emails you a receipt automatically. It names the amount, how you paid and which home it was for. Everyone named on the tenancy gets a copy.

You do not need a portal sign-in to receive it. If you would rather not get them, turn off Payment receipt in your notification settings. That is separate from the rest of your messages, so turning it off leaves your rent reminders alone.

The email is a short confirmation. For a formal PDF you can hand to a benefit or tax claim, download it below.

Before you start

  • You need a tenant account linked to your lease.
  • The payment must have succeeded. A pending or failed payment has no receipt yet.
  • Rent receipts are on by default. If you do not see a download button, your landlord's account has them switched off, so ask your manager to turn rent receipts back on, or just use the print option on the receipt page.

Steps

  1. Sign in. You land on Your home.
  2. In the Recent payments panel, find the payment you want and select View receipt. If it is older than your five most recent, choose View all payments first.
  3. On the receipt page, select Download receipt. A PDF downloads to your device.

What is on the receipt

  • The landlord or company name, and their address for notices if it is on file.
  • Your name and your rental unit.
  • The amount received, the payment method, and the date it was paid.
  • The rent period the payment covers, and a unique receipt number.

What happens next

  • Keep the PDF with your records. The same payment always produces the same receipt number, so you can download it again any time.
  • Your manager can also download the same receipt from their side if you need another copy.

Good to know

  • This receipt is for your records. It is tooling, not tax advice. Keep it for any provincial benefit or tax claim you make, such as the Ontario Trillium Benefit.
  • Prefer a full ledger? Use Download statement on Your home for a month-by-month summary.
