For property managers

Start your day on one page

Today gathers the three things you usually go looking for into one page: what is waiting on a decision, what moved while you were away, and what is coming up.

Where it is

It is called Today, and you reach it from your dashboard. When Today is turned on for your account it also becomes the page you land on after signing in, instead of your dashboard. Your dashboard has not gone anywhere, and there is a link to it at the bottom of Today.

Today is off unless someone has turned it on for your account. While it is off, signing in lands you exactly where it always did.

The three sections

Needs you. Everything awaiting your sign-off, and you can act on it here without leaving the page. These are the same items as on your Approvals page, described the same way, because it is the same list read from the same place. Deciding something here decides it everywhere.

Happened. Rent collected, tenancies in arrears, occupancy, and new maintenance requests. The line under the heading tells you which stretch of time the numbers cover. On your first visit there is no previous visit to measure from, so it covers the last week and says so. After that it covers the gap since you were last here.

Coming up. Key dates in the next 14 days, soonest first, with how many days away each one is.

When a number says "Not available"

That means we could not read that figure just now, so we left it blank instead of showing you a zero. It is not the same as nothing being there. A real zero still shows as a zero, so if arrears reads 0 ($0) then nobody owes you anything, and if it reads "Not available" then we could not check.

The same applies to Coming up. If it says we could not load your upcoming dates, that means we did not check, not that your calendar is clear.

This matters most on the numbers that would otherwise reassure you by accident, so we would rather tell you we do not know.

Who sees it

Account owners and property managers. Tenants and investor owners have their own pages and are not affected. Platform admins land on the admin console as usual.

If you manage specific properties rather than all of them, Today shows only yours, in every section.

Turning it on or off

Ask an account owner to flip it from the admin console. It is worth trying on one account first and living with it for a week before turning it on more widely, because it changes the page everyone on that account starts from.
