For tenants
See what makes up your balance
Your home page shows what you owe. What makes up my balance shows where that number comes from, month by month, and you can download it.
Before you start
- You need a tenant account linked to your lease.
- This is on by default. If you do not see the panel, your building has turned it off. Ask your property manager and they can turn it back on.
See the breakdown
- Sign in. You land on Your home.
- Scroll to What makes up my balance, just under your rent and payment options.
- Read the headline first. It says You owe now with an amount, Settled when nothing is outstanding, or You are ahead when you have paid early and carry a credit.
- Below it, each row is one month: what was charged, what you paid, what is still owed, and a status of Paid, Partly paid, Overdue, or Upcoming.
The line under the headline says "This adds up to your balance of $X". That is the same balance shown at the top of the page, so the two can never tell you different things.
Download it
Choose PDF for something you can print or send, or CSV to open in a spreadsheet. Both carry the same figures you see on screen. People use these for a benefit claim, a rental application, or their own records.
Good to know
- Upcoming months are rent that is scheduled but not due yet. They are not late.
- Partly paid means a payment was made against that month but did not cover it all.
- Re-opened by refund appears when money you had paid was refunded to you later, which puts that month back into what is owed. The refund itself is listed under Show refunds.
- Written off is rent your manager has decided not to collect. It is not money you paid, and it is not money you owe.
- A reversed charge is one your manager cancelled. It stays on the record so nothing disappears from your history, and you do not owe it.
- This is a record for you, not tax advice.
